Clinical application and research progress of anterior vertebral body tethering technique
Anterior vertebral body tethering(AVBT)is a growth modulation technology without any fusion of vertebral based on Hueter-Volkmann law,which attenuates the growth on the convex side of scoliosis and enhance growth on the concave side,resulting gradual deformity correction.With the successful development of animal experiments and case reports,AVBT technology is now widely used in the clinical treatment of scoliosis.In this article,the relevant literatures of AVBT technology in treatment of scoliosis in recent years were reviewed.
