Research progress on the relationship between cartilage homeostasis destruction and osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis(OA)is a joint disease characterized by progressive cartilage degeneration.OA can be induced by various causes, and the disruption of articular cartilage homeostasis is known to be one of the key drivers in the development of OA.A more comprehensive understanding of the molecular changes in cartilage degeneration may facilitate the development of effective therapeutic targets for OA.This article reviews the pathogenesis, related signaling pathways and molecules, and new clinical treatment attempts of OA from the perspective of cartilage degeneration, providing new ideas for the prevention and treatment of OA.
