Research progress on plantar pressure in diabetes patients
With the development of the social economy,the incidence of diabetes shows a rising trend year by year.As a complication of diabetes,diabetic foot disease is the major cause of disability in patients.The formation of diabetic foot ulcers is mainly related to factors such as peripheral neuropathy,bone and joint deformities,and minor trauma.Abnormal plantar pressure is an important risk factor for foot ulcers in diabetic patients.In the early stage of diabetic foot ulcers,plantar pressure increases abnormally and its distribution changes.At present,there are many instruments available for the detection of plantar pressure.Each instrument has its unique advantages but also has certain limitations.The treatment methods for abnormal plantar pressure include wearing measures,surgical procedures,rehabilitation therapy,and other means.This article reviews and analyses the research progress on plantar pressure at home and abroad over the past five years from the above aspects.
