Research progress on ankylosing spondylitis complicated with Andersson lesion
Ankylosing spondylitis(AS)is a disease characterized by chronic progressive inflammatory responses primarily affecting the sacroiliac joints and spine,and is often accompanied by inflammation of other joints.Some AS patients may develop Andersson lesion(AL),which can exacerbate clinical symptoms such as spinal deformities and pain,further affecting patients'quality of life.This article reviews the latest progress on the etiology and pathology,diagnosis and classification,and treatment of AS complicated with AL,aiming to provide a reference for the standardized diagnosis and treatment of AS with AL in clinical practice.
