Arthroplasty is the ultimate treatment for end-stage osteoarthritis. The success of arthroplasty largely depends on the accurate positioning of the prosthesis, which helps restore the function of the affected limb and prolong the lifespan of the prosthesis. Robots for arthroplasty, with their capability for precise and stable prosthesis implantation, have emerged as a cutting-edge and hot topic in orthopedic surgery. In recent years,robot-assisted arthroplasty has rapidly developed in China, with the successful development and clinical application of both imported and a variety of domestically produced robots for arthroplasty. This review summarizes the current status of clinical application of robots for hip and knee arthroplasty in China, and conducts a comparative analysis.
