Osteoporosis(OP)is a kind of metabolic disease characterized by reduced bone mass and damaged bone microstructure, which leads to increased bone brittleness and easy fracture.Recent studies have found that sleep deprivation affects the progression of OP in terms of hormone levels.Especially, the changes of growth hormone, sex hormone, and thyroid hormone are particularly obvious under sleep deprivation. Therefore, this paper summarizes the correlation between the changes of growth hormone, sex hormone, and thyroid hormone levels and OP under sleep deprivation, and further defines the relationship among sleep deprivation-hormone levels-osteoporosis,in order to provide theoretical basis for clinical prevention and treatment of OP from the perspective of sleep.
