cGAS-STING signaling pathway is a novel and important innate immune signaling pathway,which is activated by nucleic acid substances and interacts with other immune responses,and plays an important role in various pathological processes such as inflammation,infection and cancer.It has recently been found that cGAS-STING is involved in the occurrence and development of various age-related musculoskeletal diseases and affects bone metabolism.However,the exact mechanism of action in osteoporosis(OP)remains unclear.Therefore,this paper summarizes the action mechanism of cGAS-STING and its downstream in OP,so as to provide new ideas for the treatment of OP.
