Sarcopenia is a syndrome characterized by progresssive loss of skeletal muscle mass muscle strength,and/or muscle function associated with aging.CT is one of the effective imaging techniques for evaluating skeletal muscle composition,which can assess muscle mass and quality.Compared to other detection method,it has certain advantages and application prospects.In addition,recent studies have applied AI to CT diagnosis of sarcopenia,although some progress has been made,there are still shortcomings.This article provides a review of the application and research status of CT evaluation of sarcopenia,which provide new ideas for future clinical and research work on sarcopenia.
