Bone morphogenetic proteins(BMPs)play an important role in many organs and tissues of the whole body, which are the key factors to balance the differentiation of osteoblasts and osteoclasts and promote bone formation.BMPs family inhibits or promotes the signaling pathways of bone metabolism-related diseases, and regulates bone development and remodeling. As a key signaling molecule in BMP signaling pathway, the absence of bone morphogenetic protein type ⅠA receptor(BMPRIA)has a significant impact on the entire BMP signaling pathway. This paper reviews the progress of BMPR ⅠA in the regulation of bone metabolism, and provides reference for the subsequent study of BMPR ⅠA and bone metabolism.
