The management requirement and current status of medical waste treatment and disposal technology are summarized in this study.The incineration and disinfection dominate the medical waste treatment and disposal.The typical treatment and disposal technologies are analyzed for the mechanism,applicability and characteristics.In addition,the innovated technologies of medical waste treatment and disposal are investigated.Three types of innovated technologies are defined,including mechanism innovation and application innovation as well as integration innovation.The typical technologies of them are elaborated.Based on the present standards and policies,some suggestions for the application and extension of the innovated technologies are proposed.
