In the process of treating silicon containing organic waste gas, many precious metal VOCs oxidation catalysts are poisoned by Si species covering it's active sites after organosilicon decomposition, resulting in catalyst deactivation. If a pretreatment agent can be developed to be installed at the front end of the precious metal catalyst bed for adsorption and anchoring of Si species,it can protect the rear end precious metal catalyst and extend its lifespan. This study prepared a pretreatment agent by impregnation followed by coating, and evaluated the effectiveness of the sample. The results showed that the pretreatment agent can extend the lifespan of precious metal catalysts by more than 50%.
