Practice of Ecological Restoration Project of Water-level Zone in Reservoir Area—A Case Study of Xiangxi River Basin Comprehensive Restoration Project(Zigui Section)in Three Gorges Reservoir Area
In order to solve the problems of soil structure change,vegetation damage and biodiversity reduction caused by periodic dam impounding,a comprehensive restoration project was carried out in the water-level zone of Xiangxi River Basin in the Three Gorges Reservoir area.Through seed spraying,three-dimensional mesh spraying,ecological pit planting and ecological concrete and soil bioengineering,the vegetation area of the water-leveling zone was successfully restored to 468 000m2 in different elevation zones,the soil and water loss area was controlled by 1.94km2,and the length of the shoreline was controlled by 6.0km.The length of the river is 6.0km.In the restoration area,the water is clear,the bank is green,the scenery is beautiful,the soil and water loss is reduced by 95%,and the ecological restoration effect is good.The key technologies such as rapid regreening of dog tooth root,ecological transformation of slope protection and soil bioengineering have been formed.The project strengthens the ecological function of the water-level zone in Xiangxi River basin,improves the quality of the ecological environment on both sides,and provides experience for the ecological restoration of the water-level zone in the reservoir area.
