Development of the Outage Risk Management Tool for Nuclear Power Plant
During the outage of nuclear power plants, due to the large amount of work to be performed, the cen-tralized shutdown of systems and equipment, unreasonable work arrangements, personnel operational errors, random failures of systems and equipment, etc.,may affect the nuclear safety during shutdown. Therefore, the nuclear power plant needs to develop professional tools to manage the outage risk and ensure the nuclear safety. This paper describes the development methods and steps of a qualitative outage risk management tool in details, and has great reference meaning for domestic nuclear power plants to carry out the outage risk management. It is a integral model which associate the power plant configuration and key safety functions.Through the input of power plant operation mode, the system state, equipment failure and other information, the drop degree level of defense-in-depth and the risk of loss key safety functions can be qualitative evaluated, and measures is given to restore the defense-in-depth and reduce the risk according to the relegation situation. This tool can comprehen-sively evaluate the risk during outage, provide risk management recommendations to ensure the safety, and also determine the optimal time period to withdraw the system from safety perspective, hence optimize the outage plan.
