Nuclear power plays a strategic role in energy security,energy mix adjustment,and fighting against the climate change.Regional economy is the foundation of nuclear power industry,which determines its demand structure and annual nuclear power generation.Because of the high elasticity of income demand and strong industrial ripple effect,nuclear power industry has gradually become the most potential and rapid expansion of the regional economy.Based on the present situation of nuclear power industry in China,this paper tries to explore the mechanism,direct effect,and indirect effect of nuclear power industry on the regional economic growth,and takes Zhejiang province as an example to establish a nuclear power industry development model,to provide theoretical basis for nuclear power planning and regional economic policy of relevant departments.
