Study on the Hazard Impact of the Offshore Photovoltaic Power Plant Construction on the Safety of Nuclear Power Plant
CPR1000 nuclear power plant is a second-generation nuclear power plant, which has certain hazard protection capability. The construction of photovoltaic power plant in the surrounding sea area will introduce new hazard sources for nuclear power plant, which may challenge nuclear safety.Based on the deterministic hazard evaluation method, this paper takes nuclear power plant to achieve and maintain safety status as the goal, and evaluate the effects of fire, collapse and projectiles caused by failure of offshore photovoltaic power plant on nuclear safety. The analysis result shows that the existing hazard protection capability of a CPR1000 nuclear power plant can withstand the damage caused by the failure of 200 MW photovoltaic power plant near the thermal drainage of nuclear power plant, and nuclear safety will not be challenged. The result of this study can provide reference for the hazard impact evaluation of the construction of photovoltaic power plant in the sea area around existing or new built nuclear power plant.
