Study of Performance Indicator of the Redundant Control System
Currently, the calculation of reliability indicator of the redundant control system is based on the potential distribution. However, the result of reliability and mean time between failures could not represent the risk level of the system directly,as they could not reflect the probability of the consequential event of simultaneous dual failure of the redundant control system. To evaluate the overall reliability and the risk of the redundant control system. From the viewpoint of probability, this paper derives the formular of calculation of the simultaneous dual failure probability of the redundant control system, validates the formular with the Monte Carlo method. In the end,the historical failure data of plant control computers of a nuclear power plant are used to calculate the new indicators and compared with the traditional indicators. The result shows that the simultaneous dual failure probability is more representative and more appropriate to use it as the performance indictor of the redundant control system.
