Institutional Environment and the Sustainable Development of New-Model Research Universities
The sustainable development of the new-model research university must focus on organizational innovation.The survival and development of the organization depends on the internal structure and initiative factors of the organization,but also depends on the external environment,especially the mutual shaping of the institutional environment and the university.Combining knowledge production mode reform theory and organizational innovation theory,this paper constructs an integrated analysis framework for the sustainable development of new-model research universities under new knowledge production conditions:the spatial configuration of university organizational innovation and breakthrough organizational system innovation constitute the internal and external environment of development,and the transformation of knowledge production mode affects the sustainable development of new-model research universities.To break the inertia of structure,strategy and cognition and establish a unique identity in the higher education system is the premise of organizational innovation.The path to realize the breakthrough organizational system innovation based on the knowledge-experiment approach includes:optimizing the institutional environment for the sustainable development of the new-model research university,forming the organizational innovation space,so as to promote the efficient organizational experiment and effective knowledge accumulation,so as to promote the organizational innovation and sustainable development of the new-model research university.University organizations should strengthen the ability to read the institutional environment and innovation space,the first is the deterministic space,the second is not to hinder the independent exploration space of the university,and the third is to provide special experiment space,so as to form the symbiotic development of the institutional environment and the new-model research university.
