Analysis of Cracking Reasons for the Fillet Weld of Inlet Pipe of the Boiler Surface Type Desuperheater
Through the inspection of many power plant boilers,it is found that the joint fillet weld between the inlet pipe of the surface desuperheater and the sleeve at the flange of the equipment often cracks, which leads to weld cracking and steam leakage in serious cases.Through the cause search,it is believed that the cracking of the fillet weld is due to the high temperature water vapor encountered when the desuperheating water with a relatively low temperature passes through here, and a large temperature difference stress is generated there, and the temperature difference stress leads to the crack until the weld cracks. In this paper,it is proposed to set the weld on the outside, which is convenient for detection and maintenance, and at the same time prevent the leakage of abatement water into the inner wall of the abatement cylinder and cause the crack of the cylinder. It is also proposed to adjust the flow rate of desuperheating water by using frequency conversion technology,so that the inflow of desuperheating water and steam flow can reach a reasonable ratio, reduce the temperature difference stress,so as to prevent the crack of fillet weld.
