Research Progress on Accelerator Mass Spectrometry Analysis of Atmospheric 14CO2
Atmospheric 14 CO2 monitoring by accelerator mass spectrometry technology for the tracing of atmospheric fossil fuel CO2 has become a research hotspot for reduction of pollution and carbon emissions.Starting from the fundamental of 14 C analysis by accelerator mass spectrometry,this paper systematically introduces the working principle of AMS,the collection and purification of atmospheric samples,the preparation and determination of graphitized samples,and elaborates the progress of 14 CO2 measurement in the field of atmospheric carbon monitoring.With the continuous development of accelerator mass spectrometry technology,the research on atmospheric 14 CO2 will be more extensive and in-depth,which will help to further understand the source of atmospheric fossil fuel CO2 and carry out more targeted reduction of pollution and carbon emissions work.In the future,14 CO2 monitoring standards should be uniformly formulated,operating procedures and quality control methods should be standardized,supporting facilities for experimental instruments should be improved,and monitoring capabilities and levels should be accelerated.
