Abstract
Dissolved organic matter(DOM)is involved in the biogeochemical cycle of lake elements, providing energy source and material basis for the survival and metabolism of microorganisms. Thus, there is a close and complex relationship between DOM and microorganisms. Here,we reviewed the characterization methods of DOM,described the interaction and metabolic mechanism between lake microorganisms and DOM,discussed the responses of lake microorganisms and DOM to key environmental factors such as temperature rise, salinization and eutrophication under the background of climate change.Further studies on the impact of terrigenous DOM input on lake ecosystems should be carried out to explore the process and mechanism of lake carbon pool generation, reveal the impact of microbial action on lake carbon storage, and deepen the understanding of the carbon sequestration potential of lake ecosystems.
