Study on the Correlation Between Regional Soil Physical Parameters and Heavy Metal Content Detected by Induction Electromagnetic Method and High-Density Resistivity Method
The induction electromagnetic method and high-density resistivity method were used to detect soils of four representative background sites and seven typical contaminated sites in Shanghai, and the correlation between heavy metal content and physical property parameters was studied. The results showed that the soil conductivity in four representative background sites was concentrated in the range of 56.1-95.9 mS/m,and the resistivity of shallow soil(within 1 m)was concentrated in the range of 10.7-17.1 Ω·m.The soil conductivity distribution range of seven typical contaminated sites was 33.45-517 mS/m,and the resistivity distribution range was 1.70-17.0 Ω·m.Compared with the soil in the background sites, the soil conductivity and resistivity distribution of the contaminated sites were more scattered. The high, median and average values of soil conductivity in the contaminated site were significantly higher than those in the background sites, and the low, median and average values of soil resistivity in the contaminated sites were significantly lower than those in the background sites.Affected by the concentration of heavy metals, the soil of the heavy metal contaminated site generally showed high conductivity and low resistance. The induced electromagnetic method and high-density resistance method both had good response ability to soil heavy metal content, and the soil heavy metal content in the contaminated sites significantly affected the distribution characteristics of soil physical parameters, but the complexity increased with the combined action of the formation structure and pollutant type of the contaminated sites.Among the seven typical contaminated sites, soil conductivity was significantly positively correlated with heavy metal chromium content, and soil resistivity in contaminated sites was significantly negatively correlated with arsenic content in shallow(1 m)soil. In addition to the heavy metal content, the inversion results of the high-density resistance method and the induced electromagnetic method might be affected by the uneven consistency of the soil layer, the difference in the thickness of the contaminated soil layer, and the change of soil properties caused by different pollutants.
