Ecological Environment Quality Assessment of Huaihe River Basin Based on Modified Remote Sensing Ecological Index(MRSEI)
Huaihe River Basin is an important grain production base in China, and studying its ecological environment changes is of great significance. In view of the lack of ecological environment research in the Huaihe River Basin, the spatial and temporal changes of ecological environment quality in the Huaihe River Basin from 2000 to 2022 were evaluated and analyzed by constructing an modified remote sensing ecological index(MRSEI).The results showed that:① The MRSEI index of the Huaihe River Basin first decreased and then increased. It slowly declined from 2000 to 2010 and gradually rose from 2012 to 2022.② The significant level of MRSEI change trend was low.Areas with a significantly decrease were concentrated in the northwest of the Huaihe River Basin, while areas with a significant increase were concentrated in the northern and southern parts.③ According to the results of the R/S analysis, the future ecological environment change is mainly anti-persistent,58.1%of the pixels will deteriorate and 31.1%of the pixels will improve in the future, with an average duration of 4.2 years.④ The Moran index of future trend change was 0.828,indicating that the spatial distribution of future trend change is clustered.⑤ Temperature is the leading factor affecting environmental changes, followed by vegetation cover, aridity, and humidity. The influence of elevation, wind speed, precipitation, evaporation, and relative humidity is minimal. This study provides a basis for the environmental management of the Huaihe River Basin.
