Analysis of risk factors for arm infusion port complications in tumor patients
Objective:To explore the risk factors for arm infusion port complications in tumor patients during the port carrying, and provide the scientific basis for the clinical formulation of preventive nursing measures. Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the general data and arm port maintenance information data of 259 patients carrying arm ports, and single-factor and multi-factor analysis were used to analyze the risk factors for complications during arm port carrying in oncology patients according to whether complications occurred during the port carrying period, and proposed nursing countermeasures. Results:The complication rate of arm infusion port was 33.6%among 259 patients with port-led tumors, mainly infection, catheter blockage,catheter-related thrombosis, and catheter displacement. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age ≥ 60 years,BMI ≥ 24.0 kg/m2,other chronic diseases, and time with port>12 months were the risk factors for arm infusion port complications in tumor patients with port(P<0.05).Conclusion:The risk of arm infusion port complications in tumor patients with port is related to factors such as age,BMI,other chronic diseases, and time of port delivery, and targeted nursing measures can effectively reduce the incidence of complications in patients with port and improve the quality of life of patients.
