Development and application of a volume management scheme for patients with maintenance hemodialysis
Objective:To construct a volume management scheme for patients with maintenance hemodialysis and to evaluate its effect. Methods:A volume management scheme for patients with maintenance hemodialysis was established under the guidance of Information-Knowledge-Attitude-Practice(IKAP)theory through literature review, expert consultation and pilot study.Ninety-six patients with maintenance hemodialysis in the blood purification center of a tertiary grade A hospital in Nanchang city from June to December 2022 were conveniently recruited. The patients were divided into the experimental group or the control group by tossing a coin.Patients in the control group received routine care, and patients in the interventional group were given volume management programme. The interventional effects of the two groups were compared. Results:After 3 months, the volume management ability,self-efficacy,interdialytic daily weight gain and the incidence of common acute complications of dialysis of patients in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The volume management scheme for maintenance hemodialysis patients established in this study is scientific and feasible, and has guiding significance for the volume management of this patient.
