Career planning and its influencing factors among operating room nurses in tertiary hospitals in Shanghai
Objective:To investigate the career planning among operating room nurses in tertiary hospitals in Shanghai and analyze its influencing factors,so as to provide reference for nursing human resource management.Methods:A total of 730 operating room nurses from 4 tertiary grade A general hospitals and 4 tertiary grade A specialized hospitals in Shanghai were selected by convenience sampling method from February to May 2021,and the survey was carried out by general information questionnaire,career planning scale and career management scale for nursing staff.The influencing factors of career planning were analyzed by multiple linear regression.Results:The score of career planning was 42.57±7.95,with a middle level.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the characteristics of hospital,working years in operating room,promotion equity,career development promotion and career information provision were the related factors of career planning(P<0.05),with a explanatory variance of 57.1%.Conclusion:A well-organized career management has a positive impact on the career planning of nursing staff in operating room.The organization should help nurses to strengthen their awareness of career self-planning,effectively help them to clarify the phased goals of different careers phases,and provide opportunities for education and training,build a supporting platform for their career development.
