Construction and implementation of the automated management system for outpatient nursing
Objective:To build the automatic management system for outpatient nursing,and evaluate its effect on nursing management,to provide reference for nursing managers to enhance their management efficiency and service quality.Methods:The automated management system was established.It contains four major modules including automated staff scheduling,workload analysis,performance analysis,and salary distribution.The four modules interconnect well with each other and has been applied to practice.Indicators like nurses'overtime cost,the average time spent on performance analysis,salary distribution and staff scheduling,and patients'satisfaction before and after the application of the system have been compared.Results:The overtime hours reduced by 71.60%,average time spent on performance analysis,salary allocation,and scheduling of nurses have significantly decreased after the application with improved satisfaction of both nurses and patients.All differences are statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:The application of the automatic management software system and the formation of a good management orientation can effectively improve human resources and nursing management leading to better satisfaction of patients and nurses to provide reference for nursing managers to enhance their management efficiency and service quality.
