Current situation and influencing factors of medication safety in patients with chronic diseases
Objective:To investigate the current status of medication safety in patients with chronic diseases and to analyze its influencing factors.Methods:Totally 405 patients with chronic diseases from 4 tertiary grade A hospitals and 4 community health care centers were enrolled by convenience sampling method from August to November,2023.A questionnaire survey was conducted,which included demographic information,disease conditions,medication literacy,self-efficacy for appropriate medication and medication safety status.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of medication safety in chronic disease patients.Results:The medication safety score of chronic disease patients was 47.86±11.96,and the multiple linear regression analysis result showed that the better the medication literacy,self-efficacy for appropriate medication,and exercise status of chronic disease patients,the higher their medication safety score.Conclusion:The medication safety status of chronic disease patients needs to be improved.Medication literacy,self-efficacy for appropriate medication and exercise status are influential factors for medication safety.
