Nurses'experience of missed nursing care:a Meta-synthesis
Objective:To systematically evaluate and integrate nurses'experiences regarding missed nursing care,so as to provide suggestions for reducing missed nursing care.Methods:The computer retrieval was performed in databases from inception to August 2023 to collect qualitative studies on nurses'experiences of missed nursing care.The Meta-integration methods were applied to integrate the included literature.Results:A total of 23 studies were included,and 10 new categories and 4 synthesis results were obtained.Synthesis result 1:types prone to missed nursing care;Synthesis result 2:the impact of missed nursing care;Synthesis result 3:factors causing the missed nursing care;Synthesis result 4:nurses desired to improve the status of missed nursing care Conclusion:There are various types of missed nursing care with complex causes and adverse consequences.In order to improve the quality of clinical nursing care and the satisfaction of patients and nurses,nursing managers should pay attention to the current situation of missed nursing care,seek solutions actively and take effective preventive measures.
