Objective:To systematically review the effect of exercise intervention on reducing fatigue in pregnant women. Methods:We searched the literature in PubMed,Web of Science,Embase,CINAHL,The Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP Science, and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database from the inception to August 2023.Data extraction, quality evaluation, and result analysis were carried out by two researchers independently.Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 software. Results:Seven studies were entered into Meta-analysis with a total of 643 pregnant women. The results showed that exercise interventions during pregnancy were significant for the improvement of fatigue in pregnant women[SMD=-0.39,95%CI(-0.67,-0.11),P=0.007],and the types of exercise included yoga, resistance exercise, and breathing training, among which yoga could reduce the fatigue symptoms of pregnant women[SMD=-0.71,95%CI(-1.34,-0.08),P=0.030],intervention duration more than eight weeks improved fatigue symptoms[SMD=-0.75,95%CI(-1.29,-0.21),P=0.006],and exercise intensity was not statistically significant in improving fatigue symptoms.Full offline supervision improved fatigue symptoms in pregnant women[SMD=-0.27,95%CI(-0.49,-0.05),P=0.020].Conclusion:Exercise during pregnancy can help ease fatigue symptoms in pregnant women. So future studies should focus on further standardization of intervention program strategies to promote exercise safety and compliance.
