Moderating effect of family function in the relationship between coping style and benefit finding in children with malignant tumors
Objective:To investigate the relationship between family function and benefit finding,and to analyze the moderating role of family function in the relationship between coping style and benefit finding in the children with malignant tumors,in order to provide basis for further improvement of the benefit finding of children with malignant tumors.Methods:By convenient sampling method,a total of 284 children with malignant tumors from three general children's hospitals(including Beijing,Hebei and Henan)were investigated with the Family APGAR Index Scale,the Chinese version of Benefit Finding Scale for Children,and Paediatric Cancer Coping Scale from February to October,2022.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the moderating effect of family function in the relationship between coping style and benefit finding.Results:The score of family function in children with malignant tumors was 7.81±2.38,and family function of different conditions played a moderating role in the relationship between problem-oriented coping style and benefit finding,as well as the relationship between defensive coping style and benefit finding.Conclusion:We should pay attention to children with family dysfunction,find out the potential problems of family cooperation and growth,and provide practical guidance to promote the adjustment of family function in order to improve benefit finding.
