Objective:To sinicize The Nursing Presence Scale for Hospitalized Patients and test its reliability and validity,so as to provide a reliable and effective evaluation tool for clinical investigation of patients'nursing experience.Methods:After obtaining authorization from the original author of the scale,we translated the English version of The Nursing Presence Scale for Hospitalized Patients and conducted back-translated,and carried out cultural adaptation.Formal questionnaire survey were conducted among the 530 inpatients of a tertiary grade A hospital in Wuhan by convenience sampling.Results:The Chinese version scale contains 33 items and was divided into 4 dimensions.The Cronbach's α for the total scale was 0.931,and for the dimensions ranged from 0.738 to 0.852.The content validity index of the scale was 0.98.Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA)showed that χ2/df was 1.897,GFI was 0.812,CFI was 0.869,IFI was 0.871,TLI was 0.859,RMR was 0.024,RMSEA was 0.062,which indicated that the four-factor model provided the best fit.Conclusion:The Chinese version of The Nursing Presence Scale for Hospitalized Patients has good reliability and validity,and is suitable for evaluating Chinese inpatients'feelings and experience of nursing presence.
