Current situation and influencing factors of self-management activation among patients with Breast Cancer-Related Lymphedema
Objective:To assess the current situation and influencing factors of self-management activation among patients with Breast Cancer-Related Lymphedema(BCRL),so as to provide a reference for promoting the intervention of self-management activation of patients. Methods:Based on the theory of triadic reciprocal determinism,BCRL patients in 8 tertiary grade A hospitals in Jinan were selected as research objects. The general demographic questionnaire,Patient Activation Measure,Social Impact Scale,Social Support Scale, and Strategies Used by Peoole to Promote Health were used for investigation.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze influencing factors. Results:The score of patient activation for BCRL patients was 58.74±13.87,which was in the middle level. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the degree of education, stigma, social support and self-management efficacy were the influencing factors of the active degree of self-management in BCRL patients(P<0.05).Conclusion:The level of self-management activation among BCRL patients is not high.Tailored, systematic intervention strategies should be developed, considering patients'educational backgrounds,disease-related stigma, social support and self-management efficacy level.
