Experience of Cancer-Related Cognitive Impairment in breast cancer patients:a Meta-synthesis
Objective:To integrate the findings of qualitative studies on the experience of Cancer-Related Cognitive Impairment(CRCI)in breast cancer patients.Methods:PubMed,CINAHL,Embase,PsycINFO,Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,CBM were searched for qualitative researches on the experience of patients with CRCI from inception to May 31,2024.The research findings were summarized and integrated by the convergent integration method.Results:A total of 15 studies were included.Fifty research findings were extracted and summarized into 6 new categories.Three integrated themes were synthesized:patients'perception of cognitive decline and its causes,CRCI has multiple effects on patients,patients actively adapt to cognitive decline and hope to get more supports from the outside.Conclusion:Cognitive decline is a problem in breast cancer patients and it has many effects on patients.Medical staff should pay attention to patients'complaints of cognitive decline and help them improve their cognitive function.
