Fear of progression of caregivers of children receiving liver transplantation and its influencing factors
Objective:To investigate the current status of fear of progression of caregivers whose children have received liver transplantation and analyze the influencing factors,to provide a basis for offering personalized health management.Methods:From October 2023 to February 2024,334 pediatric caregivers of children both before and after liver transplantation were selected,and surveyed using a general information questionnaire,Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form/Parents,Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire,and Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire.Results:The total score of fear of progression in pediatric caregivers of children with liver transplantation was 48.16士8.87.Moreover,according to multiple regression analysis,illness perception and submissive coping modes were influential factors of fear of progression in pediatric caregivers of children undergoing liver transplantation.Conclusion:Pediatric caregivers of patients receiving liver transplant have not only a high level of fear of progression,but also negative thoughts about the disease progression,and their medical coping modes need to be strengthened.Therefore,healthcare workers should pay attention to the negative thoughts of these caregivers and encourage positive coping among them in order to reduce their fear.
