Based on a study of the existing conditions of the navigation and tourism along the Haihe River,the paper suggests considering to build a ship lift at the second shiplock of the river while maintaining the existing functions and structure of the second shiplock,in order to open up the downstream waterway of the Haihe River,so that tourism ships can pass through the second shiplock and realize navigation along the whole waterway of the Haihe River.It is aimed at promoting the service industry and cargo transportation along the river,thereby enhancing the development of the shipping economy in Tianjin.
