As an indispensable party in the shipping industry,classification society plays a key role in maintaining maritime safety.At present,China's legislation on classification societies is still insufficient,and the legal responsibility system of classification societies is still unclear.Based on the above,China should learn from foreign experience,analyze the possible liabilities of classification societies,and regulate the liability system of classification societies,aiming at promoting their high-quality development.
