The issue of false and concealed declaration of dangerous goods onboard vessels has always been a significant challenge in maritime supervision. Under the background that relevant laws of new revisions have been officially implemented,this paper focuses on the on-site supervision of maritime dangerous goods by grass-roots maritime administrations and analyzes the administrative punishment cases involving illegal practices of false and concealed declaration of dangerous goods onboard vessels in China since 2019. It identifies the categories of of such violations,analyzes the problems and ambiguities surrounding the characterization of violations and the law application concerning administrative punishment,and proposes relevant suggestions to clarify the scope of law enforcement and enhance compliance with international conventions.
