Application value of intravoxel incoherent motion-diffusion weighted imaging in the diagnosis of abdominal benign and malignant tumors in children
Objective To analyze the application of intravoxel incoherent motion-diffusion weighted imaging(IVIM-DWI)in the diagnosis of abdominal benign and malignant tumors in children. Methods 110 children with abdominal tumors admitted to our hospital from Jan 2020 to Dec 2022 were selected, including 42 cases of benign tumors and 68 cases of malignant tumors. All children underwent abdominal MRI plain scan and multi b-value IVIM-DWI scan, the differential IVIM-DWI parameters between benign and malignant abdominal tumors were analyzed, and the sensitivity, diagnostic threshold and specificity of the parameters were analyzed. Results 42 patients with benign tumor were including 20 cases of benign mature teratoma,10 cases of hepatic hemangioma,8 cases of ganglioneuroma, and 4 cases of focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver.68 patients with malignant tumor were including 30 cases of neuroblastoma,14 cases of hepatoblastoma,10 cases of nephroblastoma,8 cases of lymphoma,2 cases of immature teratoma,2 cases of rhabdomyosarcoma, and 2 cases of renal clear cell sarcoma. There was no significant difference in the f value between benign and malignant tumors in children(P>0.05).The ADC and D values were higher in the benign group than that in the malignant group(P<0.05),while the D* value was lower in the benign group than that in the malignant group(P<0.05).ROC analysis showed that the AUC,the specificity and the accuracy rate of ADC were significantly higher than that of D and D*.Conclusion The ADC value, with a high AUC,specificity, and accuracy rate, serves as a crucial reference criterion for distinguishing benign and malignant abdominal tumors in children using IVIM-DWI parameters.
