Effect of phentolamine on neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis and its influence on immune function of newborns
Objective To investigate the effect of phentolamine on neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC)and its influence on immune function of newborns. Methods Seventy-eight neonates diagnosed with NEC between July 2021 and July 2023 were enrolled and divided into two groups:control group(n=39)and observation group(n=39).The control group received standard treatment, while the observation group received phentolamine in addition to standard care.Clinical efficacy, duration of symptom alleviation, inflammatory indices and immune functions were compared between the groups. Results The effective rate of the observation group(97.43%)was higher than that of the control group(84.61%)P<0.05.The improvement time of abdominal distension, stool improvement and enteral nutrition recovery in the observation group were shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05).The interleukin-10(IL-10)after treatment in the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and C-reactive protein(CRP)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin M(IgM),complement 3(C3)and complement 4(C4)in the observation group after treatment were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Phentolamine is effective in the treatment of neonatal NEC,which can promote the recovery of children, improve inflammatory indicators and enhance immune function.
