Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of eEF2K,HLAⅠ and β2-MG proteins in gastric adenocarcinoma. Methods Collected 240 tissue samples diagnosed as gastric adenocarcinoma from our hospital as the gastric adenocarcinoma group, and collected 89 normal gastric mucosal samples at a distance of 5cm from the tumor as the control group.According to the expression of mismatch repair proteins MSH2,MSH6,MLH1 and PMS2,gastric adenocarcinoma specimens were divided into MSI and non-MSI groups.Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of eEF2K,HLAⅠ and β2-MG proteins in different groups, and the correlation between their expression and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed. Results Among the 240 gastric adenocarcinoma specimens,155 were male and 85 were female. The age ranged from 32 to 90 years(mean 62 years).Among them,1 case was well differentiated,77 cases were moderately differentiated and 162 cases were poorly differentiated.Compared with the control group, the expressions of eEF2K,HLAⅠ and β2-MG in non-MSI group and MSI group were significantly up-regulated,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the non-MSI group, the expression of eEF2K was significantly decreased in MSI group(P<0.05).HLAⅠ was associated with vascular invasion(P<0.05),while the increased expression rate of eEF2K suggested poor histological grade(P<0.05).Conclusion eEF2K,HLAⅠ and β2-MG protein play a role in promoting the development of gastric adenocarcinoma, and are related to histological grade and prognosis.
