Application of XTop in Multi-Mode Multi-Corner Timing Signoff
In the backend design process of very-large-scale integrated circuits,static timing analysis has become the most commonly used timing analysis method for timing signoff.Multi-mode multi-corner timing analysis makes static timing analysis more complex,and timing convergence is more difficult in signoff.In the backend design of very-large-scale integrated circuits based on UMC28nm process,in order to automatically and accurately solve timing violation problems of the chips during timing signoff,the XTop is used to optimize the timing violation across platforms,replacing the traditional method of manually writing scripts to return the violated paths for repair in the PR stage.The result show that XTop can automatically and accurately repair a large number of hold time violations without affecting the setup time.
