A review on the development path and direction of thin-glass triple-pane glazing
Reducing the thickness of mid-hollowed glass materials and the overall thickness of insulating glass,both of them belong to the category of thin-glass triple-pane glazing(TTG).The application of TTG can benefit from conserving the materials and energy,as well as lowering the emission of carbon dioxide.This paper provides a brief review on the main types,production process,cost,and development tendency of TTG.Middle mounted thin glass type TTG has the advantages of low cost and solid foundation for industrializing.Therefore,this material has a broad prospect for transformation and development.For intermediate membrane materials based TTG and vacuum glass based TTG,they are more competitive in the thickness,demonstrating a good adaptability development tendency.While for aerogel based TTG,it can be applied in the enclosure structure for daylighting purposes in the future.
