Research progress on performance durability of improved red layers
Red layer is widely distributed in the southeast,southwest and northwest of China.Due to its characteristics of expansion and contraction,water disintegration,rock softness,it often can't be directly used as a filler in roadbed engineering,and must be physically or chemically improved.In this paper,through literature research,domestic and foreign studies are sorted out and discussed in terms of disintegration mechanism,engineering improvement methods,improvement effect and environmental durability of red layer.Combined with existing research,it is proposed that the durability research of improved red layer under environmental loads and static and dynamic loads,either alone or coupled,should be strengthened in the future.
