Determination of soluble heavy metals Pb,Cd in surface coatings of profiles for doors, windows and curtain walls using ICP-OES and AAS
In this paper, the content of soluble heavy metals Pb and Cd in the surface coating of profiles for doors, windows and curtain walls is determined using atomic absorption spectroscopy(AAS)and inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy(ICP-OES),and the detection limit, lower limit, accuracy, and precision of the methods are analyzed. The results show that ICP-OES has significant advantages over AAS in accuracy, detection limit, lower limit of determination, and detection efficiency.ICP-OES has a broad application prospect in determining the soluble heavy metal Pb and Cd content in the surface coating of aluminum alloy building profiles.
