This paper collects and analyzes the transverse deformation data of concrete specimens in compressive strength tests using static strain gauge and analysis software.It is found that within the height of the specimen,the farther away from the compression plate,the smaller the influence of hoop effect on the specimen,and vice versa.The influence of hoop effect on concrete specimen is concentrated within a range of √3/2a from the compression plate.
