Study on emission rules of VOCs in inorganic interior wall coatings
In order to understand the environmental performance of inorganic interior wall coatings, the formaldehyde emission and VOCs emission of four randomly selected inorganic interior wall coatings are tested by test chamber method, and the release laws of VOCs and main pollutants are studied. The results show that the risk of formaldehyde emission of selected samples is low,and the main components of VOCs emission are saturated alkanes, alcohol ester dodecyl,1,3-dihydroxyacetone and isopropanol, with slight difference among different manufacturers.Comparing with the initial value, the TVOC of the coatings of three brands decays by 67.8%~75.6%after being placed in the test chamber for 120 hours, showing a rapid attenuation characteristic. The rish of TVOC emission is low and the coatings are more environmentally friendly.
