Study on interlayer shear performance and evaluation method of emulsified asphalt
In order to solve the problem of shear failure between the ultra-thin overlay layer and the original pavement in road maintenance engineering, three types of emulsified asphalt are selected to simulate the shear failure of the pavement under vehicle load through oblique shear tests. The results show that an increase in temperature can lead to a decrease in the interlayer shear strength of emulsified asphalt. The increase in aggregate particle size and asphalt content of the surface layer mixture can lead to an increase in interlayer shear strength. The differences in the properties of different emulsified asphalt can lead to different interlayer shear strengths.Compared with SBS emulsified asphalt and ordinary emulsified asphalt, rubber emulsified asphalt has the best bonding performance.Comparing the shear strength of intact rutting boards and composite rutting boards,it shows that the shear strength of composite pavement will decrease to varying degrees compared to intact pavement.Among them, the blank composite rutting board without adhesive layer oil has the greatest degree of reduction, with a shear strength of only 64.37%of intact road surface.Spraying adhesive layer emulsified asphalt can improve the interlayer shear strength, among which rubber emulsified asphalt can reach 75.85%of the intact road surface shear strength.
