Application of in Situ Transmission Electron Microscopy Technology in the Design of Nanocatalysts
Nanocatalysts play a very important role in modern industry.Recent studies suggested that the microstructure of nanocatalysts will change dynamically under the operating environments, resulting in the change of the catalytic performance. With the development of in situ transmission electron microscopy methodologies, researchers can systematically study the atomic scale dynamics of nanocatalysts under reaction conditions. This paper mainly focused on the recent application of in situ TEM in the study of atomic-scale in situ dynamics of catalysts, especially reviewed the recent progress of the structure-activity relationship, deactivation mechanism and structural reconstruction of catalysts under reaction conditions by taking some representative studies as examples.
