Research Progress of"No.1 Ginkgo"Metropolitan Quantum Interconnection System
Quantum internet,consisting of quantum nodes connected by quantum channels,is a quantum information system,the key task of which is the high-performance transmission of quantum information between different nodes using quantum teleportation schemes.Currently,the fidelity,distance,and capacity of quantum information transfer remain challenges that hinder the practical application of the quantum internet.Developing quantum entanglement and quantum repeaters offers a promising solution for the above challenges.The"No.1 Ginkgo"metropolitan quantum interconnection system focuses on the process of quantum entanglement and quantum repeaters at telecom band,such as the development of high-performance quantum light sources and quantum storage devices,and the experimental verification of high-speed metropolitan quantum teleportation and light-atom entanglement interfaces.The research progress of the"No.1 Ginkgo"has laid an important foundation for the practical development of the quantum internet at the telecom band.
