In order to further control the heavy metal chromium in cement and reduce harm to human health,it is necessary to control the total chromium in various raw materials of cement within a limited range. This article validates the spectrophotometric method for determining the total chromium content in cement raw materials, which is studied in the standard method"Determination of Total Chromium in Cement Raw Materials".The linear relationship, detection limit, and precision obtained through analysis and research indicate that this method is suitable for the detection of raw materials in existing cement production processes and is accurate and feasible in the laboratory. And the detection limit of the method is calculated to be 0.0089 mg/L,and the relative error can meet the requirements. This proves that the detection method can be used to detect the total chromium element in cement raw materials and control the chromium content in cement.Improvement suggestions were proposed for the detailed issues that occurred during the testing experiment, making the testing process more standardized, complete, and accurate.
